Cell phone tray force open

No. I installed a VisaTech unit and have a dedicated iPod Classic with all my music on it. It is located in the glovebox and controlled thru all the usual Lexus audio controls, including those on the steering wheel. It is charged automatically when the car is running and never comes out until I want to add or change music. It solves all my music problems and divorces me from my iPhone (which I really don't care for). The iPhone remains in my pocket and I can take calls thru the car's system since it is connected automatically by blue tooth. It will pause the iPod if I am playing music and resume when the call is completed. I could almost sell that device!

The Bluetooth does not show who is calling. I took it apart and the spring is shot looks like someone tried to fix it before its done. And I don't tex and drive I love my car to much for that

I've had the same problem, but not until after I tried to take it apart. I think I must have broken the spring, too, bc the slide mechanism for the drawer sprung back in place on one side but not on the other.
The part number listed in the above post is correct: 58880-50010. Here are pictures of the part and how to remove it from the middle dash assembly. For instructions on how to remove the middle assembly from the dash, see Cyclehead's awesome photo tutorial:

I took out the dash to add an IPod integrator. I went with Grom, bc it gives me an IPod input and an aux phono input. I put it behind the dash, ran the IPod wire to the lower glove box, and ran the aux wire through the cell phone/aux box. The last picture is of the little hole I cut in the back of the box with a Dremel to run the wires in. It is totally invisible from inside the car.

Mine is a 2003 LS430 w/Navigation and Mark Levinson audio. Just got it a few months ago, and have since used posts here on CL to replace the blown subwoofer (w/Polk Audio db840DVC - 8" dual voice coil wired in series for an 8ohm load - sounds way better than the original Mark Levinson sub!), take apart the doors to make sure those speakers weren't blown too, replace the Nav DVD (found a 2013 one for $18 on Craigslist), and now install the Grom IPod/aux input integrator.
Thanks to all you guys who have helped me so much already!

You could use the ash tray lid open and plop it laying down like i do, it stays put in there and i have a above avg Nexus 5 phone with a fat spigen case. Or option B is to put it in center console under armrest or maybe the door pocket. Its easy to access anyways since they pull open.
