Pre-collision system went off on the freeway today...
...and it was AMAZING. It cinched me back into the seat HARD and FAST and it did something to the suspension and brakes that REALLY quickened the braking and reaction time. I feel super safe now. Really glad I got it. And glad I didn't get into an accident either luckily.
Anyone else have any experiences with this?

I think its a great concept and probably works incredibly well. Nevertheless in a car this huge I certainly don't feel like I'm going to come out on the losing end of most objects I come into contact with by not having the system.
I think it makes much more sense on smaller vehicles like the RX and ES.

There was a recent post on one of the forums about another automakers PCS system being triggered by rough pavement. Owners weren't happy, but the automaker warned of the possibility in the manual.

Actually, the system was designed to 1) prevent a collision and/or 2) reduce the effect of a collision. So, regardless of how big the car is, preventing an accident in the first place is of substantial value. Also, reducing the force of an impact by slowing the vehicle down and tightening the belts by any increased margin is important.

Exactly - Kinetic Energy or the force you impact with equals (1/2 mass) times (speed squared). The "speed squared" portion of this physics equation is the part that kills you when you crash into something going too fast.

PCS with radar cruise control was a standalone option that was available on cars with the CL and UL packages only. It was an upgrade from the laser cruise control included with the CL and UL packages.
