Plastic Skid Plate problems ?
Hi
The plastic skid plate on 06 LS430 came loose and caused quite a racket while my wife was driving - finally having a local shop remove it.
So we get back to the area dealer and they initially said it is covered under warranty now they say it is not covered.
Has anyone else had problems with the plastic skid plate covering the bottom of the engine compartment??
Part of our problem is the car is a USA car and we are in Canada ... but... and we have a platinum extended warranty but the car is still under the initial 50,000 miles
Regards

You should have Zero problems with this car because the full factory warranty is still in place. The only way I could see this repair being denied is because it was caused by damage to the plate under the car, which is visible on the plate itself. If the plate just went loose by itself and had to be removed, it should be covered under warranty.
The USA car in Canada is not an issue. If the dealer mentions to you something about this being a USA car, or the dealer just doesn't want to really help you - go find another dealer. You'll eventually find a real Lexus dealer that wants to help you.
