Haha, too bad the LS430 has no Limited Slip Diffferential application in stock form... So it can only drift under yaw momentum induced drift and only while that momentum lasts... Can't really sustain a long graceful drift in the dry as both tires can't stay powered under varying lateral load (only one at a time, either left or right...)
Once that's modified, LS430 should be very easy to sustain a drift as it has plenty of torque and handling is as predictable as the best of German sedans if not so linear in feel, it's only a matter of practice to see through the silence and isolation of the LS cabin.
Once I source an LSD for my LS430, I'll have a neat video...
For now, I'll stick with my 1986 Corolla Rear Drive to keep me sideways... That's much cheaper than ruining 20" tires every 10 minutes with a 4000lbs car! LOL!
Plus wrecking a LS430 3UZ-FE engine or transmission will cost as much as a Corolla to fix and replace!!!

As one can see, only one black mark is left by the rear tires, one side or the other... and drift stops as the car loses lateral momentum in the rear and inside rear tires start to spin as outer tire loses torque distribution. Also, with a 4000lb car, you can see that it doesn't take much to roast a tire into smoke filled mayhem...and grind off a ton of rubber into the asphalt...
____
I'm thinking it's almost cheaper and easier to find a $3500 91 LS400 and slap on a Mustang Posi rear end than to modify a newish LS430 to a driftable car... Besides, each step into this process, you lose the best features of the LS... Relaibility and Comfort which we all buy the car in the first place!!!
Then again... THIS IS AMERICA! A Land where Lexus powered street rods roam and Chevy powered VW Beetles can win awards???!!

If you've ever seen that on ESPN, it's hilarious!
