Any difference between UL430 and LS430 Leather?
Hey Guys,
Just wondering if any of you have noticed a difference in the leather seating surfaces Lexus uses in their LS's. It seems to me that the Ultra Luxury has much better leather than the regular LS. I've noticed on several occasions that the UL models do not seem to have as much wear as the regular LS's. (Both with the same mileage) Is there any real truth to this or am I just seeing things. Thanks, Mike

I believe it is called semi-analine leather. It's got to be thicker than the regular leather since it takes forever for the seat heaters to come through. My wife's RX330 seats heat up in less than a minute.

black semi-aniline and white nappa leather. sometimes referred to as comfort leather in the cl and ul packages. this was a major factor when i purchased my LS. i loved black interiors but hated how you could see every sign of wear on regular sanded-and-finished black leather (why i went with tan on my gs400 backintheday). also, semi-analine leather feels more supple because it doesnt require a thick layer of finish after the dyeing process.
