OK, I know that if you spray the evaporator with Lysol, it'll combat the musty odor in the A/C system. Question: how do you reach the evap. without taking the dashboard apart? Under the hood?

Through the drain hose

under the auto, passenger side, up close to the firewall.

Thanks, I'll take it by the dealer tmrw when I get my courtesy wash. I think they'll do it for me. Lexus Carlsbad, they are amazing.

Dealers have a foam they shoot up into the evaporator drain...

OK, I went to Lexus Carlsbad today and my advisor gave me the cure. Run climate control with no a/c on recycle mode. He recommended Ozium, but Lysol works very well too. Spray the antibacterial mist into the passenger side air inlet near the floor.

Then, switch system to fresh air mode, no a/c, and take the spray and inject the mist into the outside fresh air inlet near the passenger side wiper channel.

This should clear up the musty smell. I'll be doing it tomorrow and I'll let you know how it works.
