Hi, just want to say me and my brother are kind of retarded with our curiousity sometimes, and with that we went to the hidden settings and changed the version by hitting a different US-## tab and then the navigation seemed to reboot, but now we get an "Insert Correct Disk" error with the green background, and for a good 6-7 months we have been with out a GPS and I hate it. Yesterday i opened the trunk, and there are two modules, i first tried the actual dvd player which holds the disk, i would turn the car off , unplug 1 cable at a time then turn it back on to see if had rebooted. It didnt work , or maybe i skipped a cable? and then i unplugged the module next to the dvd player there were 2 cables that i unplugged and did turned the car on and off, still a no go. I have no idea what to do, is there some secret way to reboot the navi via dashboard buttons? Please help.

Not sure if this would help, as I have an 01...

Did you try to disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few hours ? You'll lose all your presets and stuff but, it might help you...

Would the presets be the only thing I lose? b/c my dad used to be a car mechanic and he said lexuses used to come into his shop and they wouldnt d/c the battery, first they would hook it up to an external energy source, but that was years ago, times have changed. Anyone else know of anything else that will happen if I d/c the battery for a couple of hours??
