i have 1000 to spend on my 1990 ls 400. I want more hp. suggestions?

Before spending a G on boosting horsepower I would have to be absolutely sure everything else is fixed and in good order. If you have done that then maybe mod the air intake to allow more airflow, that will boost hp. Wait and see what others have to say though, I'm not very educated on this subject yet.

its a 13 year old car, there has to be somethng wrong or in need of replacement.
