Default New owner of a XCF20

Hi all,
My name is shlomy, im from israel.

I own a 2007 mazda miata (nc) and a honda fsc600 megascooter, i DIY all my vehicls.
Last week i bought a 2000 ls400 (oct 99).

The car's codition is not grate but is OK, i have no truble codes or any oil signs on the engine, underneath the whole car is dry and looks good except the oil pan of the gear which is pretty wet of oil.
The odo is 123456 miles which is not bad, still it’s a 17.5 years old car and some things dont work such as, lights of:

- seat memory button on the drive's door.

- seat belt height button (both driver and passenger door)

- lights on the auto windows on the driver's door button

- VSC and seat heater buttons lights

Other things that don’t work:

- high beam indicator on the HUD

- lower back support in the driver seat

- cigarrete lighter at the buttom of the center console. (3.5A\12V)

- fog lights (goddam donno why..)

- water pump of the wipers (maybe dead)

Other then these tiny faults, every thing works, there are a little bit vibrations when I roar the engine at Neutral (maybe replace the engine mounts)

- one of the ears that holds the engine coolant resorvior tank is broken

- steering wheel tank area is oily

The former owner replaced the oem nakamici system to some carppy stereo and im wondering whats better to try to get anothe oem system, which is not simple from here or install a dubledin..

The gear leaver area doenst look good, and i want to replace it in the future including the center console wood panel.

If anyone experienced one or more of the issues above i'll be glad to get some help.

In israel usually the wehather is hot, ive allreay repalced the engine oil&filter (mobile 1 full syntetic 5W-30)

I wanted to ask what kind of oil i need for the tranny and diff? also what kind of engine coolant should i use.

Also i have no idea how do i fold the middle rear headrest.. anyone?

Funny that the former owner removed the thermostat so now it take age to warm the engine.. what do you think on the move?

Glad to be here & Thanks in advance!

Shlomy

Welcome to Club Lexus.

I wanted to ask what kind of oil i need for the tranny and diff? also what kind of engine coolant should i use.

Transmission Toyota Type IV. Engine coolant I would suggest Toyota premixed pink or Toyota red that you will mix yourself. Differential 75-90 gear oil.

Not good. Replace with proper thermostat.

The electrical stuff you'll have to go section by section to work those out-replace.

Any chance the Trip Odometer was 7,890 miles?? Welcome aboard, Shlomy. The headrest should just move straight down. Probably with a lot of force. They don't move easily.

Thanks 2KHarrier for the advice, what do you mean "Any chance the Trip Odometer was 7,890 miles?"

I bought it with 123456 miles on the odo... by the way vehcles with miles on its gauges here are very rare since with israely regulations following thre european one's, so all vehicle here work by kilometeres.

Also there are only 20-30 pcs of the UCF20 here...
