Lookin for prices on a 1uzfe preferably with low miles.. Just getting estimates right now. Also how much do you think a shop would charge me for an install I have a 96 ls400

Here is how you do low mile engine and costs you will be looking at for its purchase.
And your looking at about the same cost or more for the remove and install job. So a rough guess is about $2000. total.
And yeah there are probably places that would be cheaper, but cheaper usually means no kind of warranty what so ever.
And its best to have the newer engine replaced at the same place that sells it, in case it does have a problem you deal with one
place and not fight between the two, and a blame game between them.

If you're still looking for a 1UZFE for your 96 LS check on ebay. There are many JDM sellers. I'm also keeping an eye out for a fresh engine for my 96 LS.
As far as shops go, you'll have to work on that because they are going to charge you more than what the engine will cost.
As Dicer mentioned, see if the seller also will install it.

Totally Lazarus-ing the thread, but I have a UCF10 1UZ-FE with ~135K. Not helpful, I know, since you're probably looking for the UCF20 1UZ-FE.
