Default about to hit 200k miles.

I know others here have them with 300 400 and 500k+ miles and theres that one that's about to hit a million, but ive had my car 3 and 1/2 years and im sitting at 199,985 miles.. right about to hit 200k and ive had it since around 150. stupid I know but its a big deal to me. anyways, here are the problems ive faced with it since ownership..

4-2013 acquired car. cherry condition

since then,

brake pads twice,
several oil changes
wiper blades
cd changer broke but installed new one
replaced a few bulbs
1 headlight
1 battery
power steering pump and rack
changed to 99 wood steering wheel so cruise wont work anymore.

even taking care of it, wear and tear has still happened.
several dings from parking lots
exaust is rusty so its a little loud
catalytics are beginning to fail
leather is starting to go on the drivers seat and the center console is really bad.

that's it. its never broken down on me or left me stranded. easiest car ive ever had. super reliable and its never let me down. I drive the crap out of it and it just keeps going.
cant say that about most 21 year old cars especially luxury cars

basic routine maintenance, and this car keeps on going. of course it helps that the engineering behind the car was a step above, even to today's standards. 200k and onward!

what I'm curious about is the wood wheel! from what I gathered, it would not work with the 95-97 airbag. you must have obtained a full wheel and airbag from a 98-00 eh? did the airbag plugs mate properly? thanks for any insight.

good question Timmy, I'm curious about the answer too....
AND on the 200k thing, my 99 got there earlier this year and got new: seals w/ T belt W pump and ALL pulleys and/or bearings on total front of engine..plus sparkplugs, tube seals, VC gaskets, and engine mounts and tranny mount,. drive belt, 4 new Michelin Latitude Touring HP tires and a 4 wheel alignment.. bring on the next 100k... runs rides & drives like new, totally silent, cant hear the motor run.. love this LS

My 98 has the wood steering wheel... and a bit past 200k at I'm at the 216k mark and still rides like new, but probably could use some new bushings and shocks.
Enjoy the ride and looks like you got a good one. Though not hard to do. Percentages are in our favor with these cars.

There should be no dings on any cars from parking lots. There needs to be a federal law that states that who ever designates the width of the parking space is to pay $2000. for each ding caused by a door opening on the neighboring car. I just bet the parking space dings would come to a halt and the spaces would be 12 feet wide instead of 6.5 feet or so. Every time I go into a dealer I complain big time about the space width. So are you ready to retire that car Rob?
Or are you going to fix it up?

Congrats on making it to 200k! My LS hit 200k about 4 months ago and is now at 207,000. Just last week I had my catalytic converter replaced. I go on constant road trips (college touring) and she never fails.
