Default 2003 LS430 strut replaced

I recently had a suspect strut replaced on the driver's side of my new LS due to a rattling noise coming from the wheel area. It helped, but did not completely eliminate the noise. Anyway, I checked the strut installation and found that the new one has the spring 180 degrees off from where the original mark is for the spring. I checked the ones on the dealers lot and the front driver's side spring is supposed to be installed with the pink paint marker toward the front of the vehicle not towards the rear. On the other hand, the passenger side does have the mark towards the rear. They are supposed to be opposite one another. I checked about 6 new ones on the lot and they are all this way. But now mine is backwards. Does it matter and should I complain to the dealer that my spring is installed backwards from the factory installation? There must be a reason that they are marked and installed in a particular direction. Any help would be appreciated. I don't walk to look foolish going into the dealer with this kind of complaint unless I know what I am talking about.
