LS400 crank but no spark! Help!!!!
So ive been through the engine with a fine tooth comb. Ive changed everything from the ecu to the fuel pump and cannot get the damn thing to spark!!! Ive read several people having this issue but noone mentions a solution! Help please!

If the igniters pass the test, then next suspect will be the signal sources cam and crank sensors.
And check the simple things too like fuses and relays. If you had a noid light you could check for an injector signal and that should mean the cam and crank position sensors are doing their thing. Maybe Yamae can correct me here or add some more things to check.

Still no fix
All the spark plugs are new the coil packs are not firing. There is no spark. I have changed the ignitor modules, crank sensor, both cam sensors, and the rotor( installed properly) and both cool packs. Its turning over perfectly just no spark. And the fuel pump was just cause it was old and im a chick and we do dumb **** like that.

doe's your model year have a valet key? I once mistakenly used mine to try and start and she'll crank and crank but never fire. Another post in this forum reminded me. Good luck

Valet keys will still start the car ,if they didn't it would defeat the purpose of having them. The valet keys just don't open the trunk or glovebox locks.
OP: you need to confirm cam/crank sensors and their wiring. Replacing parts at random isn't themost efficient way to diagnose issues like this. YOu may need to bite the bullet and get the car with a shop that knows what they are doing.

have you double checked the spark plug wires to make sure they are in the proper order? they can get crossed at times. also does the car have an aftermarket alarm system? what ECU did you use? from the same year car? just other things to consider.
LOL wow on the cliff comment! posts like that aren't usually found around here, i'm surprised to have read it.

My mistake then, I could swear I have a key for my 98 that will do everything but start the car since it has no chip. I assumed this was termed the valet key, my mistake. Thanks! Don't think I have a valet key now that I think about it.....
