1997 LS 400 alternator replacement help needed

First thing to do is make sure your radio doesn't have a password set because if it does and you don't know it the dealer will have to unlock it for you.
Its best to do this all on ramps, or you will have to jack it up to get under the front end.
Second take key out of ignition.
Wait a few minutes, if battery is disconnected too soon air bags can go off.
Open hood
Disconnect battery negative terminal.
Find serpentine belt tensioner may have to take off air silencer over the radiator if you have one to get to it.
Take belt off alternator.
If you have the engine under cover you remove it.
If you can look up and see the alternator you don't have the cover.
You will then loosen and remove any wires to the alternator and the bolts that hold it to the mount.
If there are items like hoses in the way to remove it, you may need to remove some clamps for them. I don't do it everyday so I forget what all is in the way. It will come out the bottom side. It may have to come down some to get to the wires 97's maybe different than what I've worked on.
