Good aftermarket headlights?
Is there a good source for aftermarket headlights, preferably Euro style? I remember searching a while back but not coming up with anything fruitful (at least nothing reasonable). I gave up back then and decided I'd just fabricate some custom recepticle/adapter (ford panther?). Well, lo and behold I HAVE to do something now because some smartphone texter/driver clipped my ls400 this afternoon!!!
It's really amazing how superficial the damage is --- just a small fist sized dent right next to the drivers side turn signal(adjacent to headlight), said turn signal being atomized, the drivers side headlight being trashed along with its bracket being damaged, and the bumper cover is messed up.

Here's a mod for using VW Jetta mk4 aftermarket headlights on a gen 1.

How much different is the gen 2 LS400 bracket? I have to repair/retrofit one side anyway. I have plenty of metalworking tools.

Lexkost did another headlight mod using the clear housing designed for the 95-97 LS400's. As far as the dimensional differences betwene the 1-LS and 2-LS hard to say. That may mean more than adjusting the housing brackets.
I will append the other headlight thread with the link.
