it cost about $7000 and insurance payed for more than half (some guy rear ended me) i might have been able to do it for $4000 but i was too impatient to wait for used parts also the price went way up cuz i decided to paint the whole car from black and gray to mercedes black metalic. i am happy with the result the parts all fit perfect, the shop did a good job of aligning all the panels. everything was straight bolt-on except i had to do a little work with some relays to make al the turn signals to blink properly (i made the fog light and the side marker blink too). HIDs are indescribibly badass
the only reservation that sticks in my mind is that i wonder how much more it would have cost to sell my car and buy a real 98. i didn't even bother to look into that option cuz i love the LS that i have and it took me over three months to find it when i originally bought it 2 years ago.
my car is moving closer to being finished (even though it never will be ). i just droped $4000 on a stereo system (now all i have to do is get off my *** and install it.lol). so now in my eyes my ride only has two thing that are still wrong with it:
1. no rims (e.t.a. 1 year )
2. tan interior (i have no idea how i am going to turn tan to black; dye it?! )
o well going to the shop tommorow to throw on the grill and stuff. sorry for any spelling mistakes
btw anbody tried LED bulb replacment? your expierience?

So it was YOU who's getting the admiration grill.
My experience with LED bulbs on the exterior of the car (i.e. parking lights, corner lights, brake lights, etc.) didn't satisfy my expectations. The LED bulbs are set up so that the light shines straight through and not all around like an incandescent bulb does...meaning the light from the LED bulb will be brightest when you're looking directly into it and a lot dimmer at different angles. On the other hand, I think LEDs work pretty well with the interior lights...especially the courtesy lights.
