How to Play iPod, iPhone in my '98 LS400
I have had FM transmitter and the old cassette in the tape deck methods of playing my music on my iPod and iPhone in my LS400. My cassette just gave out and I'm back in the market. I've looked on Amazon and there are too many choices for me. Any suggestions?

What options do you recommend I get with Factory Radio Service? I got prices from $60 to $105 with a switch???

What is the "switch option? Some people recommend a about a "ground loop".
John Nguyen from Factory Radio Service's first response was, "the easy way is add the aux in the front of the radio $60 each + shipping back.
When I asked him about the ground loop, his second response was "the ground loop can be added in side but most of the case is the aux in the back with switch turn on and off. it is $105 + $18 shipping back.
I was impressed that he answered me quickly. I guess I don't understand what he's saying exactly. Can the Aux be in front and back? Why do you want a switch? Wouldn't I just plug my iPhone in the AUX hole?
I'm ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

So how would I plug in my iPod? Would there be some type of permanent "holder" or "mount" for my iPhone?
Would you add the ground loop or is that overkill?

I think the total was $180 including return shipping, though I'm not certain. It was definitely under $200 though. I'm not sure what the "ground loop" talk is about. Maybe that's to deal with interference? I get some static when I stream audio from my phone while plugging it in to charge it at the same time, so maybe that's what he's talking about?
Edit: here's a picture of my stereo. The aux jack is just to the left of the CD input button, and the additional switch button is up and to the left of the jack, to the right of the "ASL" button. Both are very small and not really noticeable unless you're looking for them.

So the switch is just so I can turn off aux and listen to radio or CD while leaving my iPod plugged in? Without the switch I would need to unplug my iPod in order to listen to radio or CD? Do yall suggest getting Bluetooth as well?
