1uzfe Bad Serpentine Belt Tensioner?
Alright so I am back again for another question about my swap. Which is, is my drive belt tensioner bad or do I need a shorter serpentine/drive belt?
First: I got my car running and realized my tensioner is bouncing up and down causing my drive belt to look loose. There is no squeaking noises of any sort.
Here is a video of the first start up: LOOK closely at the drive belt you can see how loose it looks.
Second: Went to the junk yard pulled another drive belt tensioner from a SC400. Slapped the junk yard tensioner on which seemed to look pretty new considering the pulley spun freely.
Third: Once I installed the junk yard belt tensioner I started the car and same thing, bounces up and down.
Video of me showing you what I am talking about:
I think I have come to the conclusion my serpentine belt is too big and I need to purchase a smaller one. But I would like your feedback before I purchase anything else.

there should be markings to show min and max tension on the tensioner. it's marked with an arrow or triangle iirc which moves depending on tension. make sure it's within tolerance by the arrow staying between the hash marks. use the markings to get the appropriate size belt since it's probable you are running a custom serp belt due to no AC compressor?

Correct at the moment I am running a 6pk1630 belt. I have seen another person use a 6pk1615 belt which is about one inch shorter then the 1630.
