Did I jack up my timing? No def. answer
I searched and searched but I could not find a solid answer.
So I'm I just finished up my timing belt and I found I may have done it slightly wrong. I lined the cams up with the L and R cam marks on the heads along with the lines on the timing belt on both sides so the cams, heads, and belt all lined up. Then I lined up the line on the belt with the little dot on the bottom of the crank. Now my concern is that since the crank wasn't on "0" but the cams were still lined up both on the marks and belt lines. Did I do it right or do I need to adjust? And are both left and right cam pulleys the same as far as marking goes? It looks like it in the pictures I see but I switched them on accident and I was worried that the cam trigger is not in the same spot on both...? I couldn't test it because the battery died.
Thanks guys. I'm no newbie when it comes to motors but this one has me confused because all the pictures say 2 different things.
