Default BAD brake drag 2000 ls400

Hi guys, got my 2000 ls400 118k miles on 4 jackstands currently. the front wheels are TOUGH to turn by hand. I know i have some air in the system, the pedal is a little pushy till yopu pump it a few times with the car ON.

I had the brakes off when i changed the lower balljoints in the front. The pistons were no seized, retracted easily. Why so much drag!!! I ran the car in drive with no wheels on and all you can hear from the back is brake drag! I dont think it was liek this before...what is going on? How can i stop the drag??

Also heck the parking brake if you are talking about the rear brake drag.

When you bled the system, did the fluid come out easily or did it trickle out? If the pistons were pushed back in without cleaning the brake dust-road grime around them then this may contribute to stuck piston/s. With the calipers off, were they supported or dangling? Kinking the line possibly.

never bled the brakes. I only had the front ones off, never touched rears. calieprs supported, lines are fine.
I will try bleeding them all tonight actually while its still in the air.

ignore what you think is happening on the stands and drive the car. If it's not pulling or smoking the pads after driving, you don't have a problem.

Put the wheels on the front and try to turn the wheels then, they're not supposed to just freewheel like a bicycle.

if the brakes are dragging when you are actually driving the car, air in the system will not cause this, but caliper slides/pistons not moving smoothly will, so it sounds like you need to inspect, clean, and/or rebuild or renew the calipers, as opposed to bleeding (although if you have to disconnect the calipers fully from the hydraulic line in order to get them working, then you will have to bleed the brakes when you are done cleaning or rebuilding or replacing them.)
