what is the brand of the timing belt? hoping for mitsuboshi (not mistubishi).

i would also replace the thermostat (depending on your mileage), and serp belt while you're at it.

why does everyone want to go aftermarket on everything that is important - that's crazy! - just find the real Toyota part at a good discount from Sewell or Lexus of South Atlanta, etc.

You can use it if you want but if I were you, I would use a Kuzeh's which is the genuine one.
The reason is very simple. It's much better.

I surely hope so as this is what I put in few weeks ago. Belt is Mitsuboshi.

While you are in there may I suggest checking the fan bracket bearings (original Aisin fan bracket available from Rockauto, Ebay etc.) as well as serpentine belt tensioner and idler bearings.

this is indeed a great kit, the best you can get, my only concern is that I am not 100% certain that you can just buy this kit at any place in the world that has the best price, many car parts are being counterfeited these days, and I see no one here verifying with Aisin that their online seller is legit.

These parts are just too critical, so I would be calling Aisin aftermarket division and finding out who their authorized aftermarket retailers are, even it it ends up costing me an extra $50
