Okay so I have an aftermarket deck and I took it out to replace it, and I forgot to remember the color patterns. I remember brown went to black, purple to red, etc, but totally lost with all these wiring diagrams online, most say I have a black/red cord, but I don't. If anyone could let me know that will be great. I grounded the black wire of the deck to the chasis, as stated by the JVC deck and it will spit out or take a cd but won't illuminate, and speakers aren't functioning. Please help anyone. 91 LS400

If you have already pulled all the loom and you cannot understand wiring diagrams I would get the car to someone who can and let them do it.
Poor or wrong connections could get you into more trouble with blown speakers,blown head unit or even cause a fire.
Grounding wires at random is not a good idea, some of them will produce a nice spark and at the very least blow a fuse creating more work.
You will also discover that the sub woofer will not work with a replacement head unit so a seperate sub amp will have to be fitted and wired up if you want to retain this feature, the factory sub is only 2 Ohms impedance so make sure the amp matches this.
