Default New addition to my Lexus Family

Not LS400 related, but i figured i would share

So I took a stab at bringing a 03 Cadillac Escalade ESV last October into my stable. Was fun to own for a bit and brought on alot of pimp jokes from co-workers, but it was Time to trade her in and go back to the basics:

After driving all the bigger Toyota SUVs, this one in particular stood out the best in my opinion.

I know GM engineers ran out and bought several 1st gen LS400s upon their launch, just so they could disassemble them and learn about what made those new cars so amazing.... If that Escalade was an indication of anything, it shows that perhaps they accidentally bought Toyota Tercels instead, judging from the interior build quality on that wretched thing!!

Not only that, it was about as reliable as a BP pipe!

Here's to Toyota

Thanks man. I've always been the most Toyota biased person on the face of the planet, but i was feeling patriotic and really wanted to give an American car a chance. All i can say is:

If you want a car that offers flimsy interior parts breaking off left and right with peeling dashboard peices, a computerized nightmare of an electrical system that constantly need replacement computer modules and can only be diagnosed with their $3000 scanner, A rusty flaky frame, stripped drain plugs, a front differential shaving itself to nothingness, windows that won't roll down, bad seat motors, blown air suspension, exhaust manifold bolts snapping off, a non existent parking brake, just barely enough oil pressure to register on the gauge, and having the car consistently scream at you through the message center that your car is on the verge of grenading;

Then a 9 year old Escalade is for you!!!........that, and you are a masochist....

Too funny... and sad at the same time... years ago I tired the same thing with a Pontiac Bonneville...but after the third transmission in 50k miles at over $2500 a pop, busted reclining seats, and a load of other issues... I also went back to Toyota... best decision ever.

Ha ha! For sure. If i were to sum that truck up in one sentence, it would be:

"The result of building a flagship vehicle with parts out of the Cavalier bin"
