Please make a thread in the regionals section if you'd like to find out whos in MD. I made this thread to keep progress on my car. Please move if its in the wrong section.

So i tackled my lower ball joints today. It was pretty straight forward. I needed a driver side outer tie rod though. I got a MOOG replacement.

The only things that were a PITA were the speed sensors.

Did you do the uppers as well? If you are doing just the lowers you do not need to take that much stuff apart. I disconnected everything on the lower portion and let the upper half rest on some blocks. Just let the bottom of the rotor sit on something. Might save you a little time if you need to do this again.

Also might wanna take a quick look at those sway bar end links. They are starting to look a little old as well. Replaced mine and it helped the handling quite a bit. Plus you could probably do it yourself for less than $100.

I just did the lowers. I followed the DIY on lexls.com

But thanks for the advice. That'll save me some time in the future.

I will also look into replacing the sway bar links. Thanks for the heads up.

dang, that would suck having to do steering/suspension work in a parking lot, those of us with carports & garages don't realize how lucky we are!

I have to everything in a timely manner because if something were to happen, I can't leave it on jackstands over night.

I just moved in with my mom last October. Before that, I was living at my dad's house. I had a concrete slab in the back where I would do all my work. It was awesome. No garage/car port though. lol

new inner and outer tie rod ends will make the steering seem like a new car - I am not a big Moog fan any more though, I am shifting over to OEM on the cheaper outers and probably Raybestos Pro on the expensive inners

I hear you on that. The moog outer tie rod was an emergency. I think it was a better choice than the $13 dollar tie rod Advance had. lol I'm trying to stick to all OEM parts when it comes to the suspension and motor.
