Lightbulb New '96 LS400, with some problems

Hey everyone, Im new to this forum, and to the ls400's awesomeness, I would like to ask a couple quesitons because apparently all the mechanics in my town are half witted.
  1. My car, when it sits for a while, leaks antifreeze, I already replaced the water pump and one of the radiators
  2. It is also leaking oil, my mechanic said that it is a seal under the valve covers , and the covers were already replaced
  3. Is there any interior lighting HID, LED or superwhite kit that I can install? It's 2013 and I've already owned the IS350 and GS350, and the standard yellow is pretty boring
  4. Does anyone else get a hard jerk when shifting from park to reverse, neutral to drive , or reverse to drive? I already noticed that if I put the ECT on normal instead of power, it jerks less but not much less

Thanks

P.S It just reached 200,000 miles, timing belt was never replaced, ignition coils disintegrated to the touch, engine still perfect

Search the forums.

Water pump was replaced how come the timing belt wasnt?
cam seals can leak, valve cover bolt possibly are loose, or PCV valve grommet is bad.
motor mounts trans mounts are most likely bad.

200k and things are wrong with the car. Expect to pay $2000-4000 in maintenance easy.

Sorry I shoul've clarified, heres what was replaced[LIST][*]radiator[*]timing belt[*]water pump[*]spark plugs[*]distributor caps[*]distributor rotors[*]engine mounts[*]valve covers[*]power steering pump and hose[*]guibo (flexible disc, front)[/LIST
the bill for that was 2000 dollars

I'll heed your advice and search the forums, thanks for the reply.

+2 on the motor and transmission mounts. They are almost universally bad on these cars after around 150k miles because they are so soft.

replaced one of the radiators? how many do u have?
valve cover gaskets replaced but not the cam seals? they are right there..
my point is this, whoever has been working on the car or has worked on it is not doing you or the car any favors. I wouldn't worry about doing any lighting mods until u get the car fixed correctly..find out what exactly needs to be done then prioritize..im sure the lights can wait

what kind of antifreeze are you using? I've heard that the wrong kind can eat the seals. Toyota red would be best for your year.
