98 LS400 Bar Hopping
Okay, I read the 'clunk sound/strut bar' sticky on front suspension issues, but I'd like some more info on these components. First off what is the difference between a stabilzer bar, a sway bar and a strut bar? Are these in fact the same parts with different names? Also, has anyone ever posted up a front suspension diagram showing all these parts? That would be awesome. Thanks.

sway bar=stabilizer bar, unrelated to the clunking.
strut BAR is an aftermarket brace that goes in the engine bay between the shock towers, unrelated.
cause is the strut rod aka radius arm aka caster arm.
if you go to one of the stickies and read through the whole thread, you'll find numerous pictures and diagrams.
