Need help with 91 LS AC part Identification
this part is located on the Passenger engine compartment between the fenderwell and firewall, I tried to place an arrow onto the photo, It is the part underneath the "low" side hardline
1.does anyone know the name of this part?
2.And how do you get it out?

The part is VERY expensive though, unless it's used.
Check out the diagram from Sewell Lexus.

Hey thanks steve2006 I checked with the dealer and luckily they still have the part, But they want $710.00 for just the part.
due to the leak the system is empty,The leak was determined with nitrogen.my bad I did not state that earlier. Can this be done DIY?
Has anyone had luck replacing a pressure regulator switch from a salvage yard?

A/C is an art all onto itself - make sure you use new O-rings from the dealership in those peanut connectors, and yes, a salvage yard part can be used! (but might as well go new and aftermarket)
I used to own the largest auto A/C shop in Arizona (8 bays of nothing but A/C repair)

A final question, How do I get the part out? I can barely even see the part.

That's part of your expansion valve, it goes from there into the firewall and under the dash into the hvac box. to get it off from there you just remove that 10mm bolt and it comes off. That's the way part, on the inside you have to remove the lower kick panel on the passenger side and the glove box. then there's like 50 screws with about 40 are hidden. You have to get the expansion valve it with the hvac box and it splits then you can take out the expansion valve and replace it. I think there's a pictorial on Google somewhere how to do it

the expansion valve and pressure regulator switch seem to be two different parts.
this will save you about 675 of those 710 dollars!
