Default Ordering new fanclutch, Lexus part or Rockauto part?

I believe my fan clutch is not operating as intended.

Looks like Sewell has the Lexus part for $170-ish and Rockauto has 2 choices (Hayden and Fourseasons) for around $50.

Does anyone have any experience in going with these cheaper examples?

It obviously depends on your budget. I've had experience with 2 of the 3 companies mentioned, you probably wouldn't even be able to notice the difference.

Search "fan clutch" in the LS400 section of this forum and you'll get more info. I think someone just used a Hayden from Rockauto, it is alot cheaper then OEM. Did you do any kind of test on your fan clutch to see if it's bad? No sense putting in a part you don't need, unless you have money to waste. (If you do, send some to me )

Ive bought my fan clutch from rock auto(94' gs300) and haven't had an issue. put it in 6 months ago I believe. part cost me $55 and took no more than 30 minutes to install on my 2jzge. well worth it.

Old "newspaper in the blades" trick. Coolent temps were way above 220 and I could stop the blades. Also turned the car off and was able to turn fan by hand. Will go with the Hayden.

Thanks all.
