Question & Ansewer
I was interested in how many LS400 were produced each year. The below info is from Wikipedia. Calendar year Total sales, U.S.† (global
Sales and production totals
1990 42,806
† 1991 36,955
1992 32,561
1993 23,783
1994 22,443
1995 23,657
1996 22,237
1997 19,618
1998 20,790
1999 16,357
2000 15,871 I I Was surprised at the low number & how they decrease overall the years. This makes the cars even more collectable. Just wonder how many are still in good condition at there.

Pole Position
This is just a thought.
The production numbers might have decreased over the years b/c the LS400 is so good that they last so long. Alot of the sales are usually from people trading in the older models for the newer ones and with the LS style pretty much staying the same, most people just keep thier original b/c they last for so many, many miles.

Any guess on what % of them are still road worthy. I leave in the Savannah Ga HiltonHead SC area and see very few 400s. Maybe 4 tops in last 6 months. We are loaded with ES 330&350's, Seems to be a RX at every light. Interesting about the yen. Would have never consider that affecting car production for the US.
