Check engine light 94 LS400
My car runs great but there is one problem on my 94 LS. The check engine light comes on then the car cuts off. So then i turn off the car and restart it. What could the problem be?

It could be 1 of 1,000 things with that description. You need to pull the codes and post here whatever you get and then we can narrow it down alot. Here's how to retrieve them;
http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html
If you can't do it yourself for some reason you can take the car to Autozone or any of the major chains and they will retrieve the codes for free.

My engine light on my lexus
Well here is exactly what happens.....
I drive all fine then
1- engine light warning turns on, on the dash
2- engine light warning remains on for 2-3 sec on dash
3- engine light warning turns off
4- steering becomes stiff
5- car cuts off
6- I proceed to turn the ignition key to OFF position
7- restart the car
8- drives again like nothing happened
This event does not occur every day but once in a while. It only happened 3 times since last month

figure out how to pull the codes. once you know how to pull the codes.........
........do this..........
next time you are driving and the check engine light comes on, pull over, do not shut the car off, and get the codes..........
....then........
come back here and make a post with some information that someone might be able to help you with.
a random stall while driving, with no other info, is far too vague for anyone to even begin helping.

Code test
Went to auto store today, with no luck. Salesman told me they test cars from 1996+. Might have to see mechanic but don't know if they can test it since my dash flickers.

Check the codes using the link I posted above. Anyone can do it, it's just using a piece of wire and a flashlight. It's not rocket science. All codes are "stored" in the computor until you erase them so the light doesn't need to come on again, you can check it w/o the light on. Which autostore did you go to that couldn't get the codes?
