Looking for a '94 LS 400; what price for an exceptional example?
Although I know the newer models have a number of improvements over the earlier cars, I'd prefer a black (2nd choice silver) '94 LS 400 and wondering what the going rate is for a well maintained one, that I guess would have at least around 100K miles?

I bought a nice one for $1200 a few weeks ago here in Seattle, but it had several issues: power steering pump; coolant leak under intake manifold; cluster lights out when it is below 50 Fahrenheit; needed tires, and right rear rotor needed replacing, but he had the new rotor. It has 230K miles on it. But the interior and exterior are almost perfect! He didn't have the time or patience to continue repairing it but had put over 3800 into the engine alone in the past 10 months. I have fixed the tire issue and the power steering and white smoke billowing out the tailpipes issue--also related to the power steering. I will repair the other two issues myself for under $200 I checked on Craigslist and across the country on prices for a 94 and agree with whyjazz. Four G give or take one. That is exactly what I have found. I will put another 2000 into this care and have a very nice vehicle for a very long time. But if I wasn't electonic and mechanically savvy--boy oh boy, this car would eat me alive...and that goes for any Lexus because they charge so much to repair them. Tim
