Default Finally got some bump in the trunk!

I havent had much time lately to work on the car lately. Slowly adding stuff, but now its getting slowly to where I want it.... Finally had some time to install the audio systemyesterday and a bit of today. My setup is a Kenwood 1800W amp with two 12" inch Alpines type E's and running off a touch screen tv/headunit. I really like the bass sound of this car and the huge air vented box. I know I will be enjoying this car alot more now.

Anyways the set up was not so bad, not really hardest but most time taking part was making a flooring for the trunk since there was no support missing a spare. So I decided to put a few boards together with 3 legs on each to supprt the weight of the box, subs and amp evenly.
The one thing about taking cars apart for the first time from a previous owner is the things you will find under seats/carpets...

Here is my workshop... haha

Here is the floor, simple but works perfectly

Support legs where spare goes...

Wires ran through behind tanks through back seats.

Everything almost done... put in box, amp connected...

Done deal..

Hate it or love it thats the way its staying for a while until I do a cutom trunk. I like the set up even though thats not the first place id like the amp but thats where the wires fit perfectly. Like I said before, I know Im going to enjoy every ride a bit more now that I finally have some bass again like I have had in every other car Ive owned.

Yeah, I don't miss it at all at the moment. But when I put a system in my LS, I know what I've been missing from my other cars

Good work! You don't use the trunk a lot do you . I'll have to stick with a rear deck configuration since I'm in high demand of optimal trunk space

Nicely done. How did you run your wires?

ya i put 2 10's in a sealed box in my 92 and removed the stock sub, perfect sound, noticed a huge difference when i dynamted the trunk, silent outside but slaps inside, heres a tip try and hit up someone from best buy for dynamat, i worked there and got a 35x3ft foot roll for 80, or a trunk kit for 15

If you are going to do sound deadening do yourself a favor. Skip the dynamat. Learn how it all works at http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi and either buy from him or if you want top notch stuff get it from second skin audio... both are top notch and cheaper than dynamat.... unless of course you got it on discount...

I used second skin's spectrum on my trunk. Zero rattles but I'm not running alot of power...
