Default Chrome trim question

Had a question about the chrome trim that goes all around the car from the bumpers to the doors. Were can I get replacement trim at? And how do I even take it off? Mine is all faded on my bumpers and I wanna replace it after I get the car painted.

if its just a little faded you can take a bit of metal polish to it and it perks right up. if you're getting the car painted you're stuck, afaik its dealer only, and not cheap.

I tried to get the chrome trim molding before for around the door windows. You have to buy the complete molding trim kit to the tune of about $650 per door in order to get the chrome trim. This was the approximate online discounted price from Sewell and Carson I believe.
