Default Electric Fans + Hydrolic Fan???

Ok so I only have my car for reference but i have 2 electric fans on the front of my 93 LS 400 and a Clutch style engine fan. Why the duality? can the car survive without the clutch fan?

also first post! Hi everyone!

the 2 electric fans are for the condenser, the one with the clutch is for the engine itself. no the car wont survive without the clutch fan as the car will overheat easily.
