Aftermarket Sound Deadener specific to LS400?
I'm having a fibergalss box built for the drivers side trunk corner next week and wanted to start 'deadening' my car. I'll be adding a set of componenets as well up front.
I will put this in the audio section as well but I mostly want LS specific opinions seeing as this car already has pretty good deadening from the factory.

If you need a solid solution to deadening, follow this:
www.sounddeadenershowdown.com
His name is Don, and he provides great customer service. Follow his 25% rule for standard deadening tiles, then use MLV and CCF as needed to serve as your barrier. Its cheaper than "Dynamat", and more effective.
Trust me, this is my world.

my whole spare tub is fatmatted, parts of my qtr panel, trunk, and behind taillights, inner and outer.
i still have to redo one of the taillights since one piece is still vibrating but inside the cabin i can hear the rear deck vibrating and the speaker cover hitting the glass.

SS is awesome, just doesn't make it in bang-for-the-buck. Ant at SS has said it himself, if he weren't in the business of making sound deadener, he would buy Don's (SDS) products.
Asphalt is not the way, again...trust me. Advances in butyl technology and advancements in understanding exactly how to get the desired results has made asphalt completely obsolete.
SS also lists proper MLV and CCF materials, but again at a higher price. Not taking anything away from Ant's business, I love his products. The latest CLD tiles SS has are BLACK, which looks pretty cool if any of it ends up being exposed.
Remember, its not just about the deadening mat or tiles. Use Mass Loaded Vinyl in strategic areas like the trunk floor and panels that are prone to taking in road noise, and use Closed Cell Foam over your panels to serve both as a rattle-stop, and a barrier (in conjunction with the MLV) to actually stop noise. CLD tiles change the resonance of the metal but do not create a barrier. The right solution is multi-tiered. Its also cheaper than buying a crap-ton of deadener tiles, and lighter.
