ride quality after lowering
for those of you that have your first gens lowered, how did it affect your ride quality? i am thinking of just an inch or so. also, would a camber kit be needed to adjust alignment?

No camber kit required.
The ride quality is a little bumpier but I like to think it is just more responsive now which I like a lot.
Over all ride quality is still extremely smooth and I love my 1 inch drop.
I have Eibach springs and tokico shocks if your wondering.

stock shocks with aftermarket springs suck! i had my eibachs installed with my stock shocks, and it wore out so quick! my advice is get the shocks/springs and install them together. it should be the same price. stock shocks weren't meant to work with aftermarket springs since they're stiffer.

hmm interesting, I might get the springs first, then try it with stock shocks for a week or two and do some canyon runs with them.
Im sure it wont feel like a slammed ricer car though.

I don't recommend stock shocks with dropped springs either.
I almost guarantee the stocks shocks will die on you after several months and your just gonna have to get new ones later on anyways plus your gonna have to pay for install twice!
Save up money and do everything at once.

As for price of install, I had my boy (an ASE certified mechanic) hook me up for $40. I gave him an extra $20 for "cold beverages". BTW, that was for both suspension and brakes. Gotta love hook-ups!!
This is a MUST mod. Of course coilovers are a better option but in general lowering your car is a win win situation. The car drives and looks better and you sacrifice a minimal amount of comfort.
I was "tool ******" while my boy was doing the install and did help some so if you have questions about install let me know. I'll help if I can.

Josh what up fool, long time no talk.
C.GOD - I got my stuff from a friend who owns a local shop, but I'm hearing that www.shoxs.com like Josh recommended is cheap so try them first.
www.Nopi.com doesn't have bad prices either.

thanks for the info fellas. i think i will go with tokiko's and eibach. do our cars have adjustable camber? or will i have to buy a kit? thanks again.....
i may decide to go lower in the future, so i figure i may as well get it done all at once, save a couple of $ in the process.
