Default A/C on engine temp rise // Need serious help! '00

After getting my LS400 back from a starter replacement operation, I had noticed that this fan is always working even if A/C is off... Is this a normal thing? Before this replacement it was working only while A/C is on.

Also I noticed that engine temperature gauge needle rise when I turn A/C on, btw engine coolant is full.

Please help!

I had the same problem on my '95. I corrected it by cleaning the radiator and condenser fins. They were clogged with debris over the years. As soon as I did that over heating was a thing of the past with the A/C on. I took a garden hose and sprayed from inside to out and you could see the lumps of dirt that was blocking the air flow.

yea but assuming he didnt have this problem before his starter job. you dont need to remove the radiator to do a starter job but just some coolant. but yes rinsing out your radiator will greatly improve its efficiency.

the bolt on the top of the thermostat housing.... when the car is cold is used to burp pressure out of the system.
