Dang that thing is just huge and in the way!

I thought it would some how tuck down real nice and neat, but all my pushing/pulling and prodding it doesn't seem that it does. It appears that there is a bolt holding it in place.

Are most of you guys just taking it out? It looks like with it out there will be a void space there

iirc, it should just sit flush with the seat..I've never had a problem with it reducing visibility. I know it can be adjusted to sit higher also, but I think if you just put your hand on the top of it and pull it towards you, it resets down to the original position.

Reducing visibility...what are you 3 feet tall? I have mine extended in the highest position, looks good, doesn't interfere with visibility.

If you pull it forward to the front of the car it will drop down to be flush with the rear seat. Atleast on my 98

So it does just flip back and down.

much better. I don't know why it didn't do that the last time i pushed and pulled on it?
