Sold my 99 LS400
Well guys, I sold my white 99 LS400 that had 55K miles on it today to my friend. His shop is an authorized Junction Produce dealer, so he is going to turn this car into a full JP show car. Gave him a pretty good deal since it will be a show car so a lot of work would be needed to get the body in perfect condition, so I sold it for a little less than some offers I was getting. A few thousand is a lot of money, but I really want to see the finished product when it is done so for me it was worth it to sell to my friend.
I'll post up pics of the complete car in the future when it is done. This will probably take a few months though. Not sure if he was planning on entering the August show, but if so, the pics will probably come shorty after that show. Should be killer when it is done.
As for my opinion on the LS400? Great car. Nice ride, well build. Highway gas mileage is pretty good, but city gas mileage is pretty bad. In the city we were getting about 12 MPG. On the Highway about 24 MPG for a combined of about 17-18MPG.
The reason why we sold it after owning it for only 1 year is because the car is a little too large for my wife and the trunk is too small due to the gas tank. I'm going to try and look for a 2nd Gen GS300/400/430 now, or something else in that similar size.

Probably can't show progress pics as he probably wants to unvail it at the show, but once it is complete and ready to go I'll post up pics.
I'll be sticking around a long time since I'm a mod here. I'll try and get another Lexus like the GS. However, if I can pull a fast one and convince my wife, hopefully I can get her a regular Camry or Accord, and finally buy another NSX Probably wont happen for a while though
