Almost bought Silverstar 9003 bulbs for lowbeams...
but I remember from my buddies at Acura-Legend.com, they told me that they had nothing but troubles with those bulbs. What do you think? $40 for the two, is it worth it? I cant afford HID's, so what is a good bulb that gives off a good, clean white light, not yellow?

unless your getting finger oil all over the bulbs when you put them in, they last just fine. With the oil from your skin on the glass of the bulb though, it makes a small difference in how the glass can dissipate the heat of the bulb, shortening its life.
So far as stock replacement bulbs, there isn't anything higher quality; anything else and you'll be looking for much more expensive and involved replacements.
The difference between stock and Silverstars is night and day; I use them on my vehicles. But this discussion has been held plenty of times, so we probably just started another argument.

I have had mine for about 4 months and compared to other lower cost bulbs (like Luminics) they are brighter. Can't speak to how long they last yet but they are brighter. I didn't touch the bulbs when installing them so I think they will last 1+ year - we'll see.

check the SC forum for a thread: "I finally blew a silverstar", altho it's 9006/9005 but still
and yeah like they said - dont get any skin oil on the bulb, it should last quite a while
i have silverstars in all my lights on both LS and SC and so far i have not had one fail me yet (2years in SC, 4 months in LS)
i had original toyota/denso/whatever bulbs in the LS and after changing them out i was like - WOW - huge difference

Yeah you are right the Silverstars are much brighter - I could tell a big difference with the fogs on my 95 - I will stay with them. 2 years in your SC - not bad at all.
