Canadian market value for 1998 LS400
What is the Canadian market value for 1998 LS400
Is the US market value a lot less ... if it is maybe I should consider a US car ?
Any input is welcome .....
I overpaid for my last used car, so I wanna be smarter this time around.
- 110,000 kilometers
- Excellent condition
- well maintained; dealer serviced with all records
- one owner
- requires the 96,000 service (probably the timing belt is original)

My guess is about $11-12K. I have 98 with 326,000 km. I am hoping to get 6 or 7K when I sell.
US prices are much lower. I am tempted to purchase my next one there and bring it here. RX's come across at no charge as they are built here. LS and others have a 6% (I think) charge. Local dealer will service them.
Good luck.

98-2000 LS's go for $14-24 CAD depending on year and condition.
No LS has ever sold below $5000 when maintained.
The 98-2000 model is also the most sought after model with only 2 changes in its 3 year run electronic brake force in 99 and folding mirrors in 2000 .

We never got the folding mirrors, or the headlight washers. But then again, I dont think you guys got Nav in any 98-00.
The best LS's were sold in Germany as far as options. They all had navi, air suspension, rear audio and AC controls, and additional AC vents in the headliner for the rear passengers (ever notice we have too many lights in that area? thats where the vents are).

Yes, theres electronic brake distribution, and brake assist. I think assist came in '00 here, and EBD in '99.

No, im pretty sure there are no air ducts installed, since the car was never meant to have rear A/C. I was just pointing out the location.
I wonder how its hooked up though. Does it have a seperate A/C unit in the rear like the newer +01 UL's?
I'll be sure to check it out the next time im in Europe, or the middle east.
