Too Much Transmission Fluid
95 LS 173,000
After draining the trans fluid and replacing the filter, I put too much trans fluid. The car was fine but i drove it for half a day with no leaks but it still needed more fluid, so added more. However, apparently I added to much. So now I notice it's leaking like crazy and is coming just below the pan. it was dark so I could not pin point where exactly it was coming from. The question I have is should I just leave the fluid to leak until it get to its normal level, or should I as soon as posible drain the excess fluid. Are there consequences for driving the car with too much trans fluid.

I tell you I have been driving my RX for what seems like a century with the tranny fluid over the mark. In my case no issue.
I would drain it if you are getting leaking. Reason being, that there is obviously too much pressure in there, and pressure will open up things...seals, etc. Just wait until vehicle is cool and just drain a little bit out and check.
Alternatively, you can drain the whole thing and just fill back a little bit, then check, then fill, until you are confident on about the level.
