1992 LS400 Phone Antenna
Howdy,
My LS400 got its phone antenna snapped off when it was with the previous owner. I ain't gonna be using it, so I just need a picture or description of what it looks like, so I can go get me a fake antenna to cover the mess.
Thank y'all for any help.

My suggestion is to heat the exterior antenna base with a hair dryer and take it off. It is held on the window with adhesive. Do the same with the interior part of the antenna after disconnecting the cable from it. Then tuck the cable above the headliner - there should be a small bracket to hold it in place.
Removing the antenna should reduce wind noise a little.

Kick *** suggestion there, I'll let ya know how it goes whenever I get it done. Would you also happen to know how to castrate the phone as well? Might as well get me a bit more room in there.
Thanks, much!

When removing the phone system be sure to unplug connectors rather than cutting wires - some unusual electrical problems (especially audio system) can result if one is not careful.
After unplugging the two wire harness connectors from the transceiver in the trunk, plug the two large connectors together.

If you wanted to replace it just for looks, you could take the old one off like said above...make sure all the glue/adhesive is completely off, then replace it with a fake one that you can get at Autozone. The antennas look only similar, but you would have to but a real car critic to tell it.
