LCD Climate Install
Just finished fitting and installing a new Climate/clock LCD , was relatively easy , only 45 pins to solder on !!
While I was at it changed all the switch lighting to blue LED's including the night function lighting that goes through the switch and the back lighting for the LCD display itself , the result is awesome !!
GREEN IS SO YESTERDAY !!
Only took about 4 hours !!
Might have to change the rectangular switch lighting as it's a bit bright , with the parks on it's perfect , we will see if it's too distracting , it might just be more noticible because it's now blue , time will tell .
Very , very pleased , well worth the time involved .

Looks good, isn't it nice to have it readable again! Now you could switch the cluster to blue and you'll be set.
Just for reference, where did you buy the part and how much? What year LS?

I changed the bulbs to blue LEDs for the backlight, as for the toggle themselves they are still green. But with the blue, it sure is bright at night and lights up the cabin quite a bit.

I have now worked out how to do the door switches with blue LCD's as well , thats the power window lights plus the one's on the door lock , drivers and front passengers , they will be dim as they are standard as the resistor will be used with the blue LCD's , will also do the rear switches so it all matches .
Car looks awesome at night with the super bright LCD down lights , glovebox , footwells , boot and rear quarter lights !!
If you look very carefully at the picture you can see that I missed one switch backlight , the med and Hi switches and the two below are still showing green through the symbol itself , will have to go back in and fix it , can't have that !!
I actually thought someone would pick it up !!
I guess I'm up for the title " most pedantic dude !! "
