Default In general, how do you know if spark plug wires need replacing?

Looking at the spark plug wires a few days ago, I have zero idea if they are worn or just fine. They are not cracked, and I can't see any scars or burns, what else should I look for.

175K miles. The only service I did at the dealer was a 60K miles, not sure if they changed them then, is that on the schedule?

Changed the RHS plugs last weekend, lovely dusty-brown color on all 4.

THe only real way is to test the wires resistance with an Ohmeter.
i just changed mine at 164k. Didn't bother to test them.

How about contacting the dealer and pulling up your service history just to check.

Other than that, with that mileage I would consider changing them out of principle. I like to know for sure something was done that way I can guage the amount of wear on it.

Good Idea

Bad and expensive idea. Just check their resistance with an ohm meter and if they are within spec, they are within spec and they are fine. No need to waste money.
