I am a new owner of a 98 LS400.
I had a 93 MB S500 before I got this Lexus. I loved the Benz, its was a great car, but I wanted something dependable and fast.
I found my 98 LS400 for 10900. I got it for 10000. I think it was a good price.
It had 73k miles, Factory Xenon lights, Heated seats, VSC.
It is not a Benz by any means, but it doesnt break like a Benz either.

I have put 6k miles in 2 month so far, and the car is great. I wish it was a bit sportier, but hey.

Default Nice

Is that Black on Black?

I like the solid color LS's. Very nice indeed.
Change the wheels and your set.
Welcome bro!

thats a two-tone car, its just hard to see the differences in color because of the lighting.

Thanks for kind remarks.
Car is a 98 black with tan interior.
I love the car, but it feels like a Town Car. The Benz was so much better on the freeway. This car feels very light.
But I will not complain about 27mpg on the highway and 19MPG in the NYC. And it doesn't break.
The only thing that bothered me a lot was the stereo system. I took out the stock woofer and added a box with an amp. Its a small box with 2 10 inch speakers. Sounds great now. I must say,my Benz had a 12 speaker Bose system and it was very good.
I love this car so far. The design is very nice, but it does look like a big Camry.

Still, 290HP from a 4.0 motor, very nice.

19mpg in NYC??? I have a 2000 ls that recently had the 90k service done. I'm lucky if I get 12mpg here in Brooklyn. And I don't drive with a lead foot. What's your secret???? Jet fuel? lol...

It depends how you drive. I can get 10 MPG too if I dog the car all day long.
Choose the route that has less light, or traffic.
I work in the city, I hardly ever drive in, so that helps too.
