Location of Air Suspension Controller/Computer
1990 LS400 250k mi
Looking for the specific location of the computer that controls the air suspension. I believe it is in the trunk but not sure where. The on/off switch is in the tool box. Also, location of the rear air suspension air/bleeder valve appreciated.
This car's suspension will perform OK for weeks and then the rear will lower completely (evenly - not to one side). At this point, the ride height switch becomes nonfunctional but continues to display the ride height (if its on HI, it stays on HI even if I shift to Normal).
When the car lowers, I can hear a hissing noise coming from the right rear wheel well.
I don't believe the Air Suspension is totally shot. 1) the front has no issues. 2) The compressor maintains the front height and rear when it is working. 3) The front / rear will perform OK for weeks. 4) the rear lowers in unison - not one side.
I think the issue is more controller/valve/air hose related.
Thoughts appreciated.

The AS ECU is located in the trunk just above the CD changer. To access the ECU, you have to open up the first aid compartment and unbolt two 10 mm. Once the two 10 mm bolts are out, you can gentlely pull out the cover and the ECU is exposed. To complete this modification on the Air Suspension module, the ECU does not have to come out. You can leave the ECU alone. There are 3 connectors or clips that attached to the ECU. The closest and the largest connector is called A36A and the middle connector is the smallest called A35C and the further is called A34B.
To disconnect the connectors, there is a clip in the middle of the connector and you need to squeeze it in order to unlock and able to pull it out. Easiest way is to push the connectors into the ECU and squeeze the clip. They all should come out pretty easily.
