Default Rear Seat Removal

Put in a new sub box last week and now I want to remove the stock sub so the bass has a way to flow into the cabin. How do I remove the rear seat back so I can get to the sub?

I found a bolt behind each of the headrests, right, left and center. And I also found a bolt on the left and right sides just below the seat back, basically between the back and the bottom cushion. So that's 5 bolts, what else am I missing?

Thanks in advance....

what year is your ls?

if its a first generation you might want to visit http://www.lexls.com there you will find a tutorial for the removal of the rear seat. Im not sure but the principals must be basically the same in the later generations so it should help either way.

ok, in 98+, you have to pull REAL hard from under the seat. There are two pressure points on each side.

Then there are 6 screw on the bottom that you will be able to see (after you remove the bottom) and you have to remove the headrests to reveal one screw on each side. Then I think one big one where the center console goes (behind that leather.)

I know it might not seem like im making sense, but once you get in there, you will see the screws.

Edit: its actually very similar to the toturial found here:
http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/body/rearseat.html

except for the removal of the seat bottom.

It's got the Nak system and yes the sub still works but I'm going to hold on to it for now. I tend to keep my stock parts so I can put them back in when it's time to sell the car. I bought a sub box from a local forum member that has 2 - 12's. Moves a lot more air than the stock sub that's for sure!

I got the rear seat removed without any problems thanks to everyones help. Very appreciated. Got the stock sub out and now I have a port for the bass to come in from the trunk. Should sound even better. Didn't test it much tonight since it was getting late and I didn't want to irritate the neighbors.

Another sub question. I currently have the ported box facing the rear of the car and placed against the wall of the trunk behind the seats. So it's firing at the license plate and taillights. Should I point it up towards the rear deck where I removed the stock sub? Would it sound better? This is a 15x15x36 ported box with 2 12" subs.

Now on to the next project, got to build and amp rack for the trunk.
