Bilstein shocks should run you around $500 max and the bushings probably around $150 at most. That means this shop is charging you $800 for install? Look somewhere else bro.

Tax is also included, so labor is less than 900. I have read good things about EM, so I think it is worth the price. Can't wait to see how she rides after the work is done

I picked up the Daizen Front Upper and Lower control arm bushings from Todd @ TM Engineering and had them installed back in my home town Toronto along with my JIC Coilovers. Cost(taxes already included) on installing the control arm bushings and coilovers, about $420.00 Canadian(converted $360.00 U.S.) Which was performed by a certified Lexus mechanic and took a total time of 6 hrs. Result is like riding on rails with great steering response, with no problems. As for North Cali being expensive......for a $900.00 install???....that is quite steep, unless their tools are made out of platinum....

$360.00 for the bushings is not an unfair price at all. But I do think you are getting double billed here. In other words when they have the shocks off it is no extra effort or labor to work on the UCA's. And yes I was aware that they would be installing the Bilsteins as well.
Had a 217,000 mile 90 LS just get a complete front & rear suspension change. All new oem parts. Ride is great but it was pricey!!

Have you guys not seen how the LS shocks and springs are assembled? They are a bit more involoved. You need to uncompress the spring, and all that great jazz. For the rear shocks, the back seat has to come out, and the rear rack where the sub sits. Its not a 1 hour job by any means.
