Help Boot leg cds wont play in my 95 LS400
Its seems like bootleg cd give me problems in my changer. When I hit the brakes or turn left or right I get alot of static and then it stop playing. Is that what the problem is or is something wrong with my cd changer? I seems to play alot better with the orginal cd. Help

Actually, when I buy brand new CD's the 1st or 2nd track skips and sounds like its scratched. I've come to the conclusion that it's time to replace the entire system. It's about ten years old!

I have a problem with weird scratchy-skippy sounds when I play memorex CDRs. This happened in my former 99 GS, and also with my 98 LS. I think it's the pioneer player.

Sounds like changing the CD would be the first thing to try.
I had that problem at first with cd's in my Pioneer system in my '99. I was told the solution is to buy the best CD's, which I found was good advice. Memorex sounded like a vinyl LP would sound with a cat fur-ball under the needle, the TDK's were better but still not acceptable.
However, Sony's work just fine (they are also the most expensive). I don't know if its relevant, but they are very darkly colored.
I am not condoning illegal bootlegging - I put some of my records on CD to listen to in the car.

I've noticed the same thing too. It seems like the darker colored ones read a lot better than the lighter/translucent ones.

I use to burn CD-Rs a lot for my MP3 CD Player. I use to use Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs. They are known to be the best CD-Rs. This company created the CD-R. When using these CD-Rs I never had a problem. Also it could be the burn speed that causes the bad CD-Rs. I recommend burning at below 24x if possible. I usually burn at 12x or slower if I have the time.
By the way I believe you can get Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs for cheap on eBay.
